Forming the faith of our children is important to the people of St. Uriel's; therefore we believe in starting formal faith formation classes with our youngest learners!  Sunday school classes are offered for children ages 3 and up.  Children come with their parent to the 9:30am Mass.  The children leave for their classes at the singing of the Gloria.  They have their "Liturgy of the Word".  The children return at the offertory intime for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Our Sunday school program year typically runs from late September through early June.  Sunday school classes offer wonderful learning opportunities that are based on the Lectionary readings for each Sunday, and include activities such as:  listening to biblical stories, playing games, creating crafts on biblical themes

St. Uriel's Youth Ministry is the response of our Christian community to the specific needs of young people, and the sharing of the unique gifts of the youth with the larger community. Youth Ministry at St. Uriel's is relational, multidimensional, holistic, and people-centered.  Adolescence is a significant time in the development of our teens.  Our parish community has an important role in building assets in youth and assisting youth to successfully complete the developmental tasks particular to adolescence. The presence of young people at our parish is a sign of hope and a great gift to us.

Youth Ministry strives to promote quality programs, healthy relationships and functions for youth in grades 6-12.  This inclusive ministry provides faith formation, social activities, and service projects.  We offer many opportunities for our youth to grow within the parish community and with Jesus.
