The emphasis in ALPHA is on creating an environment in which any and all questions about Faith can be asked without judgment.  We also have our share of fun as well.

At St. Uriel’s, will be starting our next ALPHA seminar in September.  The course runs for 11 weeks and meets on Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:45 pm. Each class begin with a marvelous dinner, fellowship, and some music. Following the dinner and music, we listen to a talk on an aspect of the Christian Faith. Discussion questions are then handed out, and all the participants move into small groups for a half hour group discussion. The small groups then come back together where Fr. Russ answers questions raised by the small groups. There is the final wrap-up, blessing and dismissal.

Mid-way through the seminar, there is a one day retreat which focuses on the work of the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Trinity.

We will conclude our Alpha seminar in March with a celebration dinner.

ALPHA is for everyone! You do not have to be a member of the parish or an Episcopalian – Anglican. You do not have to be a Christian!

Alpha has been a real blessing to the life of the parish. The beautiful thing abut Alpha is that anyone in the parish can be involved in this exciting ministry which brings people into a closer relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Parishioners worked in many capacities to make the seminar a success. They worked as team members, prayer partners, intercessors, kitchen help, food coordinators, clerical work, and musicians.

Come alone, or invite your friends, family, and neighbors and come together. Please join us for our next Alpha Seminar.
